Adobe® Portable Document Format (PDF) is the open de facto standard for electronic document distribution worldwide. Adobe PDF is a universal file format that preserves all the fonts, formatting, graphics, and color of any source document, regardless of the application and platform used to create it. Adobe PDF files are compact and can be shared, viewed, navigated, and printed exactly as intended by anyone with free Adobe Acrobat® Reader® software. You can convert any document to Adobe PDF using Adobe Acrobat software.
To get more information on Adobe Acrobat and how it can be used, go to Adobe Acrobat's® Indepth page.

TUI can use your PDF to produce the necessary end product needed, whether it is for film, proofs or digital printing.

TUI has created all the settings needed for you to Distill your own files and create PDFs for Press, Print or Screen. You can request these settings by sending us an e-mail that includes information on what version of Acrobat you are using and the platform you are working on (Mac or PC).

In addition, TUI can create PDFs for you whether you are going Direct-to-Plate or viewing them on the World Wide Web. Call one of our knowledgeable staff members at 602-266-2445 or e-mail us for more information.

Here is a list of some common problems and their solutions taken from Adobe's Website
Common problems Adobe PDF solutions
Recipients can't open files because they don't have the applications used to create the documents.
Anyone, anywhere can open a PDF file. All you need is free Acrobat Reader software.
Formatting, fonts, and graphics are lost because of platform, software, and version incompatibilities. PDF files always display exactly as created, regardless of fonts, software, and operating systems.
Documents don't print correctly because of software or printer limitations. PDF files always print correctly on any printing device.
Documents can't be created for viewing across multiple media, i.e., handheld devices, Web sites, and print. Tagged PDF preserves a document's visual integrity so it can be viewed on Palm OS® devices, on the Web, or in print.
Content in existing documents can't be repurposed for other uses because of formatting problems. Content in PDF documents can be saved in Rich Text Format and reused in other applications.
Documents with complex formatting are not accessible to visually impaired readers. Tagged PDF files contain information on content and structure, which make them accessible with the help of screen readers.
